Get Fit Bish

alright so... I admit it. I went to Starbucks and I finished a paper before writing this.
I am sorta sorry, about the paper portion. not the Starbucks. I can't function [words of an addict]

I have been writing today's post for like a month now, it has been in multiple different drafts,
started and restarted on many different days, and it just hasn't really been coming together.
my posting plan for Wednesdays [all Wednesdays] has been health and motivation.
this is American [for me anyway] and I feel pretty confident in saying, that we are all in the same boat,
working on being healthy, thinner, you know the story, "our best versions of ourselves".
and we can all use a little motivation can't we? for me, the post is more about accountability.
it is too easy to fall off the wagon and give up.  I need people to push me.. judge me when I quit!

so let me start by going WAY back to when my real "get fit" journey began.
probably like a year and a half ago, I started getting serious about my health.
I stopped drinking pop and juice. other than Starbucks, I drink nothing but water.
I rarely eat fast food, which I AM now completely cutting out, pony taco anyone?
I have almost completely eliminated all red meat, and switched from chicken to turkey.
you know they say that your diet is even more important than working out?
makes sense I guess... people don't burn nearly the calories they eat.
I still have what I crave when I really know that I want it though.
I eat whatever it is, in moderation, a little bit of whatever it is.

except for those times that I don't... I lost some weight, it was great and then...
I got lazy. yep, I got lazy and stopped exercising again.
doesn't make sense really. I was/am nowhere near my goal.
no excuse for taking a break, getting relaxed, or being lazy.
so I am back at it again, I have been stuck at the same weight for TOO long!

last Thursday I had a wake up call and I did the following:
I ran the better part of 6 miles...
5 outdoor miles [in the snow] and 1 indoor mile.
there was also some time spent on the stair climber.
it is official, I have no idea how to use it.
Bre and I also did a lot of "mall walking"
by which I mean we went shopping. it was magical.

then on Monday I officially made my goal [26 in 26] for my 5k
I finished it in under 45 minutes. which I know to many is sad.
but for me it was just one accomplishment that I plan to better.

today, I signed up for my first dietbet.  it starts in one week.
I plan to crush that 4% and then keep going!!

now, I will be the first to admit that I have been slacking recently.
I have been stuck at the same weight for over a year.
for this to change, I need to do cardio a minimum of 5 times/week.
sometimes it is hard for me to make this happen because of my classes.
but honestly, if my unemployed ass can't make this happen,
then I will never be able to. so cheers to a new beginning guys!

next Wednesday I will have my health bucket list and some stats.
I want to have some real concrete goals to work towards,
and I want you guys pushing me and judging me all the way there.

if I haven't lost you to the middle of this post,
tomorrow's recipe is worth this crap of a week!

  3. UUUUGGGHHHH I have to stop making excuses and use the gym membership that I paid for. Can't I take a pill to be skinny and then promise to maintain it?
